ABOUT THE PROJECT
Pupils will introduce and give information about cities they live in
English like a tourist guide by organizing short trips around the cities.
AIMS
1-Encouraging students to speak English
2-Improving listening, reading, writing skills and vocabulary in English.
3-Providing students to have information about new places and cultures.
4-Giving students opportunity to Introduce places where they live and
their cultures.
WORK PROCESS
1-Describing general information of cities such as geographical location,
population, height from sea.
-Creating project posters.(October)
2-Describing historical places landmarks and natural beauties such as
lake, river, plateau.(November-December)
3-Describing local food.(January)
4-Introducing cultural aspects such as folk dance, traditional clothes and
songs.
-Sending eachother letters and some presents which reflect our cities.
(February)
5-Creating a Project board at school, hanging maps , information and
photos of cities the other partners share, arranging an exhibition of
presents.(March)
6-Creating e-brochures of cities, and then an e book of the project
(April-May)
7- Creating a website of the project.
-Evaluation (June)
Students will be so active, they will be like a tourist guide, they will
introduce the cities by speaking English. All of them will watch all the
sharings of the other partners. Usernames and passwords will be created
for students to enter twinspace.
